In my case, I would like to be able to create a set of devices.
For example, I have a house with floors and I control my shutters via io-homecontrol.
I would like to be able to tell it via an action to open all the shutters on the floor and close those on the ground floor to 15%, for example.
Either this is done via an action to control a set of devices of the same type.
Or we have a way to add tags and be able to trigger these tags in the scenes (the tags would act as a relay with the devices and the linked integrations).
Hey @spenceur
that looks suspiciously like a scene in your story
On my end, not for the shutters, I have a slider on my dashboard with which I set the number of hours for the pool filtration and then I click on a button to start the scene that takes over this timer.
I think a scene is just a roundabout way of achieving this goal. It’s been just over a week since I’ve had the same thought as Spenceur: I would like to be able to add metadata to my rooms. Notably, the notion of a floor, which makes complete sense. This would especially allow, via the AI part, to simply say « open the shutters upstairs », « close the shutters downstairs ».
Beyond the floor, it would also be great if a room could have other metadata. We could then imagine things like « close the street-side shutters and open those on the garden side ». Or even « turn off all the bedrooms » and that kind of thing.
