As suggested by Cicoub in this topic who was talking about adding a « Water Temperature » feature, I think it would be practical to be able to change the type of a feature without losing its history.
I am specifically talking about an MQTT device for which you add features yourself by choosing their type. If after some time you want to change the type because you realize you didn’t make the best choice, or because a new type becomes more appropriate (this will be the case if « water temperature » is added when there was only « temperature (room) » before), a « Change Type » button would be practical.
I don’t think this is useful for devices created by external integrations or Zigbee devices. But feel free to correct me…
