Hello everyone
I have long followed the Gladys project from afar, before starting in August.
After asking a few questions on the forum, I introduce myself now. I am Olivier, a computer scientist rather oriented towards operation. I am passionate about Linux and all open-source software.
I have in my SI a PowerEdge T110 ESX server with 6 Vms and three Raspberry PI, but it just broke down, and I am therefore in the process of migrating to a full Raspberry architecture
Regarding home automation, I am disappointed by Domoticz (too messy) and Jeedom (not aesthetic) that’s why I decided to switch to Gladys.
So far, in Gladys, I have managed to
- display the living room temperature (the sensor is connected to another Raspberry, based on a D18S20 probe, DIY)
- display the indexes (six in total) of my electricity meter (I am on the Tempo option). The data is collected by another raspberry, always DIY
- connect my Zwave key
The data is updated by curl commands that attack the Gladys API. They are launched via a scheduler, Rundeck to name it.
Remaining to do on Gladys
- insert switches and sensors in the zwave network and create scenarios
- buy a Zwave thermostat to control my boiler (by the way, if someone wants to advise me of one, I’m interested)
- control my Kody/osmc from Gladys
I now move on to the part of the things I would like in Gladys
- Gladys’ agenda is of no interest to me, I would like to be able to add one or more webdav calendars, no Google agenda. I saw that a person wanted to start about a year ago, I don’t know where it is at…
- Brain.js: I didn’t quite understand how it works… it must be within my reach, but I need to spend some time on it. Do you know if it is possible for Gladys to answer a question in several ways?
Example
Gladys, do you love me?
Answer 1: Yes, I love you, Answer 2: Why not? Answer 3: What does it matter to you?
- Is it complicated to adapt the Spotify addon for Deezer… I know nothing about Javascript, I have already used the Deezer API (I even discovered a bug, yes yes) and all my playlists are on Deezer…
That’s all for now..
And thank you all for the work done Pierre-Gilles, to those who make the plugins and those who are willing to answer questions on the forum
