Hi @Sigri !
Welcome here ![]()
I feel like we’ve gained a great user profile (unlike EDF, which must be cursing the switches to N100 ![]()
)
Looking forward to hearing from you
Ahah my pleasure! I already have an idea to port one of my plugins, for connected motorcyclists ![]()
I need to take a look at the plugin docs here!
I also think, I already moved from 3 rack-mounted servers (180W TDP / server) to my Xeon workstation (150W TDP nonetheless!), with the N100 we’re at 15W at full load
Welcome to you.
10 VMs ?? But how much RAM do you have ?? ![]()
Ah ok I was expecting a lot more…!
I guess they’re not very resource-hungry VMs ![]()
Given that these aren’t very active things, it’s still okay under load.
Pi-Hole, Docker (Gladys, Frigate, ERP, Ghostfolio, n8n), Jeedom, Plex, test Windows machines, Zigbee2MQTT, and various nodes.
So overall, less latency for hardware that is nonetheless less expensive and less powerful on paper, but in reality everyone wins — no regrets ![]()
Hi @Sigri and welcome to Gladys ![]()
Very nice setup, great choice the mini-PC N100 — it’s what I recommend for home automation today (I also have a Beelink N100 / 16GB RAM / NVMe M.2)
Don’t hesitate if you have any questions, and if you want to contribute it’s always a pleasure, all PRs are welcome!
I’ve also done some live coding on YouTube that might interest you:
Thanks for the feedback, big boss!
I actually have a Beelink as well, and overall I got two other competitors — they’re all about the same (only the placements and
