I have two Neo Coolcam outlets in my setup and they work perfectly with v4…
But…
When I try to integrate a 3rd outlet, it’s impossible to integrate it into Gladys
Unless I missed some information about how to integrate Z-wave devices in v4, I think this bug is a remnant of v3. In fact, I found the topic that explained this problem with Gladys v3 and which explains how we had worked around the problem (hence, probably, the functioning of the 2 outlets currently in place which had been integrated into my Z-wave network at the time).
But not having the time to set up a Domoticz installation just for this, I allow myself to reopen a topic on v4 to report that this little bug seems to persist
This is very strange! You put Gladys in « pairing » mode, you follow the pairing procedure of your outlet, and nothing?
It’s weird because the post you mention, the code on Gladys v4 has nothing to do with that of v3 (the two projects do not share a single line, we started purely from scratch)
Otherwise, just to talk about the long-term Z-Wave integration, we plan to abandon Open-Zwave in favor of ZWaveJS, a new open-source project that is a bit revolutionary in the Z-Wave world.
On the outlet side, I put it in integration mode
On the Gladys side, I go to the Zwave integration, I see my current devices 100% functional (The dongle, the FGD212, 2 Coolcam outlets configured since V3 and 3 ghost devices…), I click on one of the 2 green buttons at the top to add devices (I’m not at home and I don’t remember the exact name, but secure mode or not, it’s the same thing), and then… well nothing happens… The outlet does not appear in the device list…
Is my way of doing things wrong?
Weird indeed… If my integration manipulation is good and there is a bug on the dependency side I will have to redo the manipulation « install domoticz on another Rpi, put the dongle on it, integrate the outlet via domoticz, remove the dongle and put it back on Gladys » for the outlet to be taken into account.
But I’m a bit short on time right now (but well, nothing is urgent so it’s fine)
Yep, I read that in I don’t know which topic (probably the Z-Wave one)
This can only be a plus for Gladys to switch to the new project!
