Issue adding IKEA ALPSTUGA Air Quality Sensor

Hello,

New to home automation, I’m struggling to add my first accessory to Gladys.

I manage to add my sensor in Apple Home with a HomePod mini.

However, in Gladys > Matter, the addition always fails with:

Failed to connect on any discovered server

My setup:

  • UGREEN NAS + Freebox Pop

  • HomePod Mini

Is ALPSTUGA + HomePod mini + Gladys Matter supposed to work today?

Thanks.

Hello @zeveto and welcome to Gladys!

Normally, you should be able to pair it without any issues

A few points to check:

  • Are you sure that Gladys is on the same network as your HomePod mini?
  • Have you launched Gladys with the docker run on this page?
  • Does your network support ipv6?

Hello Pierre-Gilles

Thank you for your response. Yes, the HomePod, Nas (UGreen), and Ikea sensor are all on the same network. The network supports IPv6.

On the other hand, I let ChatGPT suggest the composition to copy. Everything installed very well and I managed to connect to the Gladys interface.

I will try to reinstall everything using the resources available on the site.

Thank you again

Indeed, be careful with what ChatGPT proposes, it makes a lot of mistakes, do go through the docker run from the website

Total failure, unfortunately :-/ I also did the test on Home Assistant, with the same result. I’m starting to think that the HomePod is the source of the blockage.

Small update: The Dirigera hub is recognized via the Matter module but it’s impossible to have the accessories connected to it. I thought the problem was coming from the HomePod but apparently that’s not the case.

If anyone has had this kind of problem, I’m open to advice.

Have a nice day.

@zeveto What accessories do you have on your Dirigera? What do you have in the « Settings » tab? Don’t hesitate to share the « Noeuds JSON » file with us here, which is downloadable in one click on this page

For your information, Dirigera has been patched, you should no longer encounter any issues.

I would be interested to see if Gladys can handle CO2 and PM2.5 information…

Normally, it’s fine because I have the information feedback from my Dyson fan via Matter.
