Hello,
Bluetooth is indeed enabled on Gladys and when I go to Bluetooth then to Configuration I get this message:

What should I do please? It should normally find my phone…
Thanks in advance
Hello, there are a few issues with the Bluetooth service that will be fixed shortly.
In the meantime, you can restart the gladys container via command line using putty.
docker restart gladys
This should fix the Bluetooth service issue. Then, I assume you want to do detection with your phone, but using the Bluetooth service is not the right way to detect you.
If you have Gladys + @pierre-gilles has added the possibility to do detection via mqtt, you can read the whole article
Thank you for your feedback, I don’t have Gladys + and how does putty work, I’m a real beginner ![]()
Hello, for phone detection, I’m not sure it will work. And you should know that phones frequently change their MAC address, and it is this address that allows identifying the device on Gladys via the Bluetooth service.
Therefore, no guarantee that it will work correctly.
Oh, damn it, I was so happy to be able to activate my security system even more easily…
But how can I arm my system other than by voice and at a fixed time?
Some have connected their mobile to mqtt, check the forum ![]()
Okay, thank you, I’ll check the forum side ![]()
You need to access Gladys from the outside as well, so your home automation will be visible to anyone. The interface is secure, but someone could target the Raspberry Pi.
Oh, bad idea then because the goal is to manage everything internally…
I use a Wemos D1 Mini with Tasmota and an RFID RC522 reader to disarm the system. Total cost 7€. I had planned to make a tutorial for it but haven’t had the time yet.
To arm it, a simple button in the house runs the scene (departure) that turns everything off, opens the gate, and activates the alarm…
I can’t wait to see how it works with your future tutorial ![]()
@Guillaume36 In my opinion, what works best is Bluetooth keychains, like the Nut: https://www.amazon.fr/Nut-Bluetooth-Télécommande-Localisation-Smartphone/dp/B01M4L7GHY, you put it on your keys and then when you come home it detects you, when you leave it doesn’t detect you anymore ![]()
As @AlexTrovato said, mobile phones don’t work for Bluetooth detection because phones are designed to be undetectable.
Indeed, I advise against opening your MQTT to the outside, it’s the best way to get hacked.
Thanks @pierre-gilles for the info, I’ll take care of it.
Is Somfy integrated into Gladys v4.3.1 (rolling shutters, garage door / gate opener and temperature sensor)? If so, how do I do it please?
No Somfy in Gladys, you need to develop the service (and inevitably have the hardware)
@damalgos speaks here
Oh, damn that’s really unfortunate…
Gladys is great but without the Somfy integration, I think I’ll pass…
Make an integration request.
You are not the only one to have Somfy.
How do you submit an integration request?

Hello,
I just installed Gladys and I have the same Bluetooth issue as Guillaume36. I restarted the gladys container via ssh but it didn’t change anything. Would there be another avenue to explore?
Thanks in advance and good evening
