I’m asking for a bit of help — I installed Gladys Domotique (gladys domotique) on a Raspberry Pi 4 that was lying around to try it, but unfortunately it won’t boot. I downloaded the image from the site, uncompressed it and followed the guide. I tried with two micro SD cards and always get the same result. If I install an OS to test, it works. Has
I must admit I haven’t tested this image for a while. As stated on the website, I no longer recommend installing on a Raspberry Pi: too many problems, systematic SD card corruption, power issues when using a USB Zigbee dongle, and generally poor performance.
If you still want to use your Raspberry, I recommend installing a bare system, then manually installing Gladys by following the « Docker » tutorial in the documentation — it will only take you a few extra minutes
However, consider this a test installation; don’t keep it long-term, your installation won’t be sustainable.
Prefer mini-PCs for this, as they are more reliable.
Okay, I’ll try the Docker solution then — thanks for the Raspberry Pi tip. To be honest, it’s just to try the solution; if I like it I don’t plan to stay on the Raspberry Pi. Thanks again for the reply.
