Device backup and timeout issues?

Hello,
I’m reorganizing all my devices a bit following the new features allowed with external integrations.

I’m in the Overkiz integration and assigning rooms to my devices.
The issue is that the first ones I click save quickly and the following ones have the thing that spins for looooooooong :frowning:

For info, it’s been 5 minutes and nothing is happening visually and if I go to another page, Gladys no longer responds.

I noticed this on other integrations but not as long and therefore I don’t know if it’s Overkiz or Gladys that has the problem.

EDIT: well still nothing, only solution: restart the docker :frowning:

Create a GitHub issue for this kind of problem

I noticed there’s the same issue when deleting a device, but I don’t know if it’s related

For device removal, I did that on Matter because I had all my shutters in matterbridge (and I’m now switching to the Overkiz integration) and it also took some time.
However, I thought that if it was taking a long time, it was due to the history or something like that, so no worries and indeed it releases (even if it’s long).
However, a simple Save, it bothers me that it takes more than 3 seconds.

Yes, I thought the same about the history, but I did it on devices where there is no history, especially during my tests on my external integrations, and the deletion also took several seconds.

I confirm that the deletion is horrible. Yet I put 3 months of data max but I wonder what it does to struggle so much. On my NAS it can go as far as to eat all my RAM…
So I no longer dare to delete…

Do you have an SSD RW cache?
If you only have HDDs, unfortunately, it’s not ideal.
I had a lot of lag with my Synology and Gladys Docker on it (with just an SSD cache in read-only mode).
Since I switched to SSD (SATA and NVMe) on a dedicated Proxmox, I no longer have any issues (well, almost none).

Unfortunately no SSD cache yet, the price has gone up so much that I’m waiting, but now we’re not ready to go down xD
