I noticed that in the activity, every second I have messages

I assume this must make Gladys work more than expected.

Is this normal and if not, how can I fix it?

yes, Gladys has a lot of messages to process.
Which integration are you using for your garage door?
This will allow redirecting your issue to the integration maintainer.
You can also add [integration xxx] in the title.
