When replacing a device that is not working (KO), or when changing its name in z2m, we still have access to its history as long as it hasn’t been deleted.
When creating the new device to replace the old one, I’d like to have a button that allows retrieving the old device’s history and injecting it into the new one.
For this to work, only the features identical between each device will be retrieved: for example, for a plug, that would be power consumed, energy consumed, state, etc.
The old device becoming obsolete, it would then be completely deleted from Gladys.
The idea comes from this demande and an idea suggested by @pierre-gilles would be to replace the device_feature_id of the old device with the new one (be careful though with this solution, of course it’s a quick-and-dirty approach for a very specific need of mine).
