Is it possible for you to send a photo of how these sensors look? I get the impression that they’re really big compared to the Xiaomi.
In private if you prefer ![]()
I have both, and it’s true that Sonoff devices are a bit bigger than Aqara ones.
Hello
There you are reasoning like a technician, and when you apply that you end up with these ambiguities. It’s more user-friendly to say that the sensor is open to mean the window is open. What I mean is that when I create a scene, I think « when my window is open I send a message » and not " when my sensor is closed (which means my window is open) I send a message" I hope I’m clear🤔
Hello
You didn’t reverse anything at all, you had already done it before, it caused an uproar because we had to change our scenes, and after a debate of the same kind as this one, we therefore returned to the current state ![]()
That’s why I say we should show what makes sense to the user.
Window/door open or closed — 0 or 1 doesn’t matter
We just need to be logical on the tech side and on the user side.
So we’re agreed about the user😉, what matters is that the trigger fires on opening and not on closing
I just reread my previous message and indeed I’m completely wrong: it’s not
The electronic part measures 46 mm high, 25 mm wide and 16 mm thick.
The magnet part is much larger compared to the magnet itself — that’s why I 3D printed some that are just the size of the magnet.
I can’t compare with the Aqara ones; I don’t know them.
The Aqara sensor
The magnet is 10 mm wide, 26 mm long and 10 mm thick
The electronic part is 21 mm wide, 41 mm long and 11 mm thick
If I’m not mistaken, the newer Aqara models are smaller, but I don’t have the dimensions to give you right now.
Ok perfect, we’ll just swap the translations then
The 0 and 1 won’t change so as not to affect the scenes already created, just the text on the UI side!
Thanks for the feedback!
