Hello @pierre-gilles
I’m sharing a link I found interesting about the security of the Zigbee protocol Les réseaux professionnels et domestiques peuvent être piratés à partir d'une ampoule connectée and would like to ask you a question on this subject: what measures have been taken in Gladys regarding this (bearing in mind that this concerns all platforms) and what solutions can be envisaged to avoid this issue?
This isn’t problematic for passive devices (data reporting) but for active components such as gate controllers, roller shutter controllers, and opening actuators this can be a problem!
Hello @cce66,
It’s more on the Zigbee2mqtt side that this is handled — you have an « OTA Updates » tab that lets you update your Zigbee devices so they can be patched in case of a vulnerability:
Regarding Gladys, like any system it needs to be kept up to date. The automatic update policy with Watchtower allows Gladys to stay continuously up to date without user intervention.
I think we’re one of the few platforms to have this behavior enabled by default ![]()
