Hello,
I am reaching out to see if anyone has tested the Xiaomi wall switches?
I have two types of these at home, in duplicate: with neutral and without neutral.
For now, they are not integrated into Gladys, due to the library used for the Xiaomi module which does not yet support this hardware. When I have time, I will tackle that.
Otherwise, it works very well outside of Gladys with the MiHome app or without (it remains a switch). I just have an issue because I replaced a push button with this and it has a bit of trouble, I would need to be able to tell it to behave like a push button (this will certainly be in Gladys when it is supported)…
Ok ok ![]()
And I also saw a Xiaomi smoke detector that also connects to the gateway but not yet to the module.
I’ll take a look if I can’t patch it
I will receive everything in the coming days.
I will receive the smoke detector soon.
Normally, the library handles it, you just need to request an update of the Xiaomi module to @pierre-gilles or submit a PR to him on Github.
Yep I’ll see if I can code a bit or if it can update itself ![]()
Oh and I also saw a Bluetooth receiver to play music through it! I would like to test it, like if we have speakers but no Bluetooth, maybe we can play music through it.
Could you push your code to the git? ![]()
I’ll check that out this week
Was it because it was an Aqara model?
No issues with my wireless mija and the Xiaomi module
@damalgos, @Hamtaro, the detector works with Gladys (I have 2 at my place
)
I modified the library with the help of @bniouche22 (thank you again!) a few months ago and at the time I discussed directly with quibusus (author of the dependency) and Pierre-Gilles because I couldn’t make a PR (I don’t understand anything about Github… a real noob! Maybe I’ll try to understand one day…)
The link to the final message containing the modifications to be made if you want to modify your local library files directly
(and if you go back through the discussion thread, you will see the whole reflection)
Edit: re-reading the discussion thread, I made the reflection that the dependency had been updated. It remains to be seen if @Pierre-Gilles has made the modifications on the Gladys side since (personally, I still have the dependency and the listen.js file manually modified.)
Personally, here’s what I use as a switch:

Hi,
Sorry to dig up this topic, but I wanted to get some feedback after a few years.
I would like to connect my switches, but the Legrand models are way too expensive (55€ per switch)! I found an alternative with Xiaomi and Aqara. The switches can work manually and remotely, perfect! @isokar, are they still working well after 3 years now? What are the downsides? Zigbee2mqtt should allow easy control with Gladys, right?
Or do you know other brands that offer connected switches? (models that can be surface-mounted or flush-mounted)
Yes, and while waiting for Zigbee2mqtt to be ready, Gladys 4 already manages them with the Xiaomi service (via the Xiaomi Gateway)
Is it the library or Gladys that we need to wait for?
It’s still good news ![]()
Côté Gladys!
You can follow the development of the service on the dedicated topic:
They are already very advanced, but the integration is not yet in Gladys
