Hello, I would like to install Gladys at my home to connect, at first, an intrusion detection system. I’ve seen the gear from Xiaomi but I don’t know if it’s any good and whether I should use a gateway.
What equipment do you recommend for an alarm, motion detectors and door sensors?
Hi @Rexrider! I really recommend Zigbee with the Zigbee2mqtt integration; on the Sonoff side they have nice and affordable devices.

Ok great I’ll take a look at that. Do you have any nice devices for an audible alarm and cameras as well?
We don’t support sirens yet but there is a feature request for that (it’s coming!)

For cameras, you need a camera that exposes an RTSP stream, several recommended models:
- Reolink (quality brand, perhaps a bit more expensive than average)
- Otherwise Sonoff makes a more affordable camera
