Hello,
I am new to the Gladys community. I have a second home which is equipped with modules to control the lights, the shutters, smart plugs managed by the ENKI box from Leroy Merlin, cameras managed by the Blink app, a Somfy alarm system, an Echo Dot and an Echo Show 15. So for some time now, I have been looking for an application to gather everything into a single app.
My question: I wanted to know if Gladys is capable of bringing everything together; if so, what is the procedure to follow?
My 2nd question: I wanted to know whether in the near future Gladys could integrate a personal assistant/companion (AI) where we could ask it questions on various topics or ask it to make a shopping list, etc…
Thank you for your response.

Hi @Falcon29 and welcome to Gladys
Do you know which protocol the ENKI box from Leroy Merlin uses? Zigbee?
Is this box « open » or not at all?
For Somfy, depends on what you have exactly, there are options for Somfy roller shutters (For example this tutorial on the forum: Fabriquer son émetteur somfy domotisé )
For Amazon Echo Dot / Show, we are fully compatible with Alexa:
It’s already possible
Gladys is connected to ChatGPT and you can interact with it:
The Enki Box uses 5 protocols Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, EnOcean, DiO 433 MHz and Zigbee
Ok, and you, which devices exactly do you use?
We handle Zigbee very well in Gladys
For the plugs I use the DIO brand and for the lights and shutters, modules from the EVOLOGY brand
For the BLINK cameras: 2 with the alarm + a smoke detector from the SOMFY brand
An LED strip from the GOVEE HOME brand
You need to check whether all these devices are « open » or whether they operate with proprietary, closed protocols.
On the Gladys website there’s a list of all compatibilities:
(The documentation is available here Commencer avec Gladys | Gladys Assistant)
You need to check for each device whether it is able to talk to Gladys or not.
If not, see whether the ENKI box has an open API so that Gladys can communicate with it. After a quick Google search, I don’t think it does, unfortunately…
If you continue your home automation setup, I encourage you to buy devices that run on open protocols like Zigbee, which will then allow you to connect your devices to any home automation hub
The Evology modules are EnOcean modules manufactured by Nodon.
It’s an open protocol but clearly losing momentum and not supported by Gladys, even Leroy Merlin seems to be abandoning its solution in favor of Zigbee.
I developed a gateway to report measurements from various sensors, it is possible to use it to send commands but that is clearly not easy.
