Hello,

Thanks for your help ![]()
I’ve reviewed the documentation, but it won’t be ready anytime soon. And without the command line, it seems ambitious:
Syno doesn’t provide access to all Docker options; you can’t bind system volumes via the interface.
So those who want a Zigbee/Z-Wave/BLE dongle, etc., without a command line, it’s simply not possible. (Not to mention the drivers.)
Syno Docker (via interface) is a pain.
Not easy to make things simple ![]()
I just looked at how the Home Assistant installation is set up
The installation is done via a Synology package (spk) but only to facilitate the creation of Docker containers. It’s quite simple to do. This might be our turnkey solution
https://github.com/SynoCommunity/spksrc/tree/master/spk/hassio
Absolutely! Is it complicated to set up or not?
No, it’s not going well. The advantage is that there isn’t much to maintain because it’s all Docker.
Thanks for watching; when I said « no command line », I was thinking of a tutorial like this (just one among many): AdGuard Home sur un NAS Synology (avec Docker) - Cachem
No worries, we understood each other well, what I meant earlier is that it’s not possible via DSM, or rather only partially.
For now, we just have a bit of documentation, but you need to execute 2 commands via SSH.
I will look into providing a ready-to-use Synology package. If you’re interested in contributing by testing, don’t hesitate to let me know. (I have a Synology that doesn’t support Docker)
@RegisD What is your NAS model?
The NAS is a DS918+
And re-reading the previous answer, yes OK to test ![]()
I’ve made a SPK that you can download and install via the application manager
Normally the wizard will ask you where you want to store the Gladys data

It’s done completely blindly without testing so no guarantees ![]()
EDIT: Oh and I forgot, Gladys will normally be available on port 5080
Wow! I’ll try right away!
Thanks already
Was this supposed to be launched from the Software Center or from Docker?
I chose the Software Center, no error messages, but it still remains in the « Launch » state, even if I try to launch it.
Yes that’s it from the Package Center
You can check on Docker if you have a « Gladys » container?
OK, no, there is no container Gladys under Docker.
Oh well, I’ll have to spend a bit more time on it ![]()
Sorry for the false hope!
It’s already really nice of you to have tried ![]()
I uninstall, that’s better I think?
Yes you can uninstall it’s not a big deal, I’ll set up a Synology VM to test it will be simpler
OK, it works.
Thanks again ![]()
Hi,
I think I read in the package description that Gladys relies on the content of the hass.io USB directory to list USB devices: are the 2 products related?
