A small Belgian discovers Gladys

Good evening to you all,

I introduce myself, Sam, approaching my forties quite quickly (39 this year) and loving new technologies, I find myself among you in order to learn and find new ideas to improve daily life within the family home (composed of me, my wife, my little monster and our pets).

I hope to integrate and learn quickly with this great community.

For the moment, nothing is yet decided, I am gathering as much information as possible in order to find my happiness.

Looking forward to reading you again and continuing to follow you,

I greet you.

Welcome to the forum.
Don’t hesitate if you have any questions

Thanks for the welcome :grinning:

Being a beginner in home automation and coding, I’m still a bit lost in all of this, but I learn quickly. (Thanks to my various trainings…:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

I’m trying to figure out how to sync with the iCloud calendar but I can’t find anything. Let me explain, we are all Apple at home. This ranges from the Wi-Fi network managed by Airport Extremes on each floor of the house, a Mac mini as a multimedia server (Plex), to iPads, MacBooks, and iPhones for the rest…

I would like to know if it is possible to integrate iCloud services (calendar, notes, and reminders) with Gladys.

Also, is it possible to use the Bluetooth of our Apple Watches for location in the house and some scenarios (entering and exiting the house)?

Thanks in advance.

Hello! Welcome to the forum!

No, because the Apple Watch or any BT device like an iPhone does not advertise continuously to preserve the battery.

However, Bluetooth Fitbit bracelets work!

Yes, that’s a shame.

Thank you for the welcome. My RSP is ordered… I can’t wait to receive it to get started.
