Advice for purchasing equipment

I used this tutorial Zigbee2MQTT
With this firmware https://github.com/Koenkk/Z-Stack-firmware/raw/master/coordinator/Z-Stack_Home_1.2/bin/default/CC2531_DEFAULT_20201127.zip

I have the other model recommended by Zigbee2Mqtt: Slaesh’s CC2652RB.

It seems to be more often in stock, doesn’t require additional hardware to flash, and works great with all my sensors (about 30).

It is mentioned that it is delivered « pre-flashed Â» there is nothing to do.
That’s correct.

Yes, I confirm, that’s it!

For the zzh, no need for equipment to flash, plug and flash and play.

The day zigbee2mqtt makes a major update, you will probably need to flash the firmware (we have time to see it coming).

In fact, I think these are two similar products:

  • Both come with Zigbee2Mqtt by default
  • Neither requires additional hardware to flash
  • Both are recommended by Zigbee2Mqtt
  • Both are under €30

Small question about a Bluetooth keychain.
I’ve been looking for a while.
I found this one:

Do you have any models to recommend?

I have one of these. But I haven’t had the time to set it up yet

Tile mate

After that, there is this:

Mini bluetooth

Hello @VonOx, what is the behavior of the LED during connection?
My stick is blinking continuously. Is this normal?

I don’t have that key
But there’s an option for the LED on the zigbee2mqtt side, I think

Oops. I’m not far enough back in the discussion.
I just noticed there’s a step before using it. I thought I could connect it directly.

Yes indeed @Tlse-vins, you need to flash it ^^ it’s quick and effective, no need to tinker ^^

After that it works perfectly!!

However, I still haven’t found a solution for Bluetooth!!^^

So, I had time to test my key. Everything works perfectly with a Xiaomi temperature sensor. I’ll be able to start equipping myself a bit more!

Does anyone have a Zigbee/Friend of Hue power strip? Or do you use a smart plug + a regular power strip behind it?

I have a standard multi-socket outlet + a connected plug.
But if you find an affordable connected multi-socket outlet (I’ve never looked), I’m interested

I have the same thing, but I saw that it existed, so I thought that if someone had it and had tested it, it would be good to have their opinion.

Hello everyone,

I’m taking the liberty of bumping the discussion because I found this and I think it may interest some of you. @lmilcent

As for how it’s handled in Gladys, I’ll let the experts answer. ^^

There is also a power strip of this type (Zigbee) in Lidl’s home automation range (Lidl Smart Home connected power strip ref Lidl: 367548_2101- SPSZ 3 A1). Currently it is recognized by Zigbee but not supported; I hope this will come as well because I also

Hi @Einstein8854! I’m following up on your message, is there a request somewhere for this power strip?

It would be nice to have a bit more info

My search indicates that it’s the model Lidl HG06338 control via MQTT | Zigbee2MQTT , handled by Zigbee2mqtt: Add device HG06338 · Issue #1333 · GladysAssistant/Gladys · GitHub and tested by @Tolkyen so I don’t really understand.

It’s the only one available at Lidl
