Sometimes it’s singular « turn on the light » then plural « turn off the lights » and again singular « control a device »
For the light, I agree and I proposed a fix here fix(typo): Light scenes labels and MQTT by cicoub13 · Pull Request #1544 · GladysAssistant/Gladys · GitHub
For « control a device », the action is meant to change the state of a single device. So I suggest keeping it singular.
