Compatible camera

Nothing like that on my side, then… One hypothesis (but without being able to prove it): my Wi‑Fi routers are also made by TP-Link, which might stabilize the connection with the camera…

That would be a good idea!

There is the ONVIF protocol which is kind of the reference in the field ( https://victime-cambriolage.ovh/onvif/ ), I don’t know if Tapo cameras are compatible with it

I’d be happy for you to create a feature request. Be as precise as possible: if the Tapos are ONVIF, make an ONVIF request; if they’re not, make a request for Tapo

Tapo cameras are indeed ONVIF compatible. Ok, I’ll create the feature request…

@StephaneB I don’t think the Tapo C200 cameras support remote ONVIF control

Here’s what I found on other forums:

I got myself a Tapo C210 for my home

Admittedly it’s not PTZ ONVIF compatible, but the C200/C210 range seems to be the best-selling camera on the market.

In practice, I think so. I installed the DVR Agent tool on my computer (which replaces iSpy, listed as obsolete), and it accesses my C200 camera via ONVIF. From this app, via ONVIF, I can successfully enable/disable the camera, adjust pan and tilt, and point the camera to one of the ‹ presets ›. However, the Zoom command doesn’t work (because the camera doesn’t support it).
