It’s been a few days since I can no longer log in on my smartphone at the address http://192.168.1.XX
I get a message « Invalid email address or password »
I checked the password I enter. It’s the same as on my PC.
I deleted all Firefox data (cookies, history, site permissions…)
I try with Firefox or Chrome. The result is the same.
Any ideas?
Edit:
Actually, connection impossible on my PC too.
I logged out to see if the problem was also present and I can no longer log in to Gladys
I requested a password reset and it worked.
However, we should plan another way to reset in the RC because, retrieving the link from the logs is not the easiest.
If you have any ideas, I’m all ears! In case the user has configured Telegram, we could send it via Telegram, but otherwise I don’t see any other solutions, the local instance only has the logs to communicate with its « real owner » securely.
An email, but in terms of security, it’s not the best. Telegram would be quite good, but limited to those who would have configured it.
I saw somewhere yesterday that someone proposed to view the logs in the interface.
This could be a solution by adding a brick for that, or a button.
To send an email, the user would need to configure an SMTP server in advance, which is not easy. It can’t work « out of the box ». Same problem as Telegram, and Telegram is simpler.
But if you’ve lost your password, you can’t access the interface!
Nothing is possible « without configuration » except for the logs.
I think we’ll already send the link via Telegram, that will already be great, SMTP could be a next step but doesn’t solve the problem if the user hasn’t configured it beforehand.
I’m reviving an old thread, in the next version of Gladys the password recovery link will now be sent via Telegram and NextCloud Talk depending on the method configured by the user.
