Gladys Assistant 4.17: Mobile dashboard UX improvements & advanced GPT-3 integration!

Hi everyone!

Gladys Assistant 4.17 is available with quite a bit of work under the hood :partying_face:

Dashboard easier to re-order on mobile

One of the pieces of feedback I received following the UX improvements published recently was that drag and drop was hard to use on mobile.

So I revisited my work and proposed a different version on mobile to adapt to the specifics of vertical / touch screens:

  • On mobile, during the « re-ordering », widgets are reduced to take up less vertical space
  • The entire widget is « grab-able » for drag and drop (instead of just a small icon)
  • The « delete » button is removed during drag and drop to avoid mistakes
  • If the user selects a widget and moves it into the top 20% of the screen, the screen scrolls up, and vice versa for the bottom of the screen.

How to update?

If you installed Gladys with the official Raspberry Pi OS image, your instances will update automatically in the coming hours. It can take up to 24h, don’t panic.

If you installed Gladys with Docker, make sure you’re using Watchtower (See the documentation )

Isn’t that 4.17.1?
I’ve lost my Zigbee sensors’ feedback and it seems to almost correspond to the update that restarted the Gladys container.
Yet everything is OK on the zigbee

Simply disable the service, wait 30s, then reactivate it — that should refresh the sensor data…

This is so cool, thank you very much! I hope this won’t eat up all the margin you’re making on gladys plus!

Can’t wait to try this out daily, then! Is the limit still in place even with the advanced feature? Which GPT-3 model are you using?

I had the same issue after receiving the Gladys and z2m updates.
I restarted 30 seconds later and it was OK.

Still the same, 100 requests per Gladys Plus account per month :slight_smile: If that’s not enough, and I see that the cost works out for me, we can increase that quota! It’s a first test.

The most advanced one, which is also the most expensive :smiley: davinci-003

This is an issue that seems to happen to quite a few users, but we can’t reproduce it! We’re discussing it in this thread, and we’re looking for someone who experienced the issue and who could send us their complete logs:
