Control Philips Hue lights with Telegram

Hello,

New Gladys user, I’m just starting to configure the different devices and possibilities.

Thanks to the great tutorials available, I connected my Philips Hue bridge and registered the different lamps in each room. I can control them via the dashboard without any problem. I also integrated Telegram and tested it with the OpenWeather integration, perfect. However, when I ask for a command like « Turn on living room », it tells me it didn’t find any light in that room. Same for all other rooms. Did I miss something? Or do I need to create scenes to be able to control the lights via Telegram?

Thanks for your help.

Hello and welcome

Have you properly set up your lights in the hue integration? Can you provide screenshots of this part and your dashboard

I may have missed something, below are screenshots of the integration of the lamps/parts and the dashboard.

Can you try with these sentences?

Turn on the light in the Living Room

Turn on in the Living Room

Hello @Nablax and welcome!!

Unfortunately, you arrive just before the resolution of this problem by @pierre-gilles it seems. It is still being tested but it should not take long. Check here: https://community.gladysassistant.com/t/nouvelle-image-docker-dev-avec-fix-nouvelle-fonctionnalites/6303. I think your issue is listed and several of us have had the same issue recently.

Have a good evening

Thanks @Terdious for the message, that’s correct.

These sentences were recently broken by an update and this will be fixed in the next Gladys update

Sorry for the inconvenience and welcome to Gladys @Nablax :folded_hands:

Thank you all for your responses.

I will wait for it to be fixed, no problem . Thank you anyway for all your work.

I take the opportunity, has anyone tested the use of a Withings watch as a presence sensor? I have paired my watch, but I have the impression that it does not detect when I am no longer in the accommodation. Would there be the same problems as for the Bluetooth of phones?

This is the case for the moment, but the same, this has already been mentioned.

The same, there are topics about it, but it’s more complicated to use the Bluetooth of phones for presence.

Perhaps create a specific topic to discuss this, as no one will see your message since we are in a Philips Hue/Telegram topic

I haven’t seen a topic about this. Would you have the link to the one discussing this subject?

Yep, I had read about the topics on this subject. That’s why I was asking if it was potentially the same thing in the case of Withings watches.

I’ll create one if the subject hasn’t been addressed. But if it has already been the case as Tlse-vins indicates, it’s better to join it I think.

That’s no longer up-to-date @Tlse-vins!

Oops, I had forgotten this part.
