Tuya equipment not supported

Hello,

no luck, I have an unsupported Tuya device.
Is it possible to configure MQTT manually to work around the problem?

Thanks.

Hi! No — that’s not possible, Tuya devices cannot be controlled via MQTT.

Two ways to have this device in Gladys:

  • Make a feature request with as much information as possible about the device, and cooperate with whoever will help you with this integration. In the case of the Tuya integration, it’s @Lokkye who coded this integration!
  • In the meantime, go through Node-RED and then bridge it with Gladys via the MQTT integration (My YouTube tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpmHzR8_S5g )

Thanks @pierre-gilles, I’m not sure that many of us will end up using the module I have and I’m not going to monopolize development just for myself, so I’ll start with Node-RED.

As you wish, you can already view it via Node-RED, and you can also create a feature request with the information — that way at least the request exists.

@golfy44 : I can try to add this type of hardware, but as @pierre-gilles says, it would be easier with a feature request that includes all the information.
Because at the moment, I don’t really see what this device is for.

Hello  have you had time to check on the vacuum cleaners?

No, not yet, because the vacuum cleaner isn’t yet among the devices supported by Gladys. So I’m trying to find a good « architecture Â» for this new type of device.

Hello @Lokkye,

sorry for the late reply but I’ve been working on the subject very, very sporadically.

The device I use is an energy measurement instrument (primarily consumed and produced power) compatible with Tuya.

It will be used to calculate the surplus solar production and optimize its use (basically to store it in my car’s battery).

What information do you need for the integration and where can I find it? In the Tuya debug interface?

Thanks
