Gladys Assistant 4.26: Gladys is now compatible with Tuya/SmartLife/LSC Connect!

Hi everyone!

I’m very happy to release Gladys Assistant 4.26 today, a major update that notably adds compatibility with Tuya devices

A thunderous round of applause for @Lokkye who worked on this integration :clap::clap:

All the new features are on the blog here :

On this occasion, I’ve decided to give the next 21 people who sign up on Gladys Plus a Tuya Wi-Fi plug with energy consumption monitoring => Gladys Plus | Gladys Assistant.

Valid this week only!! :rocket:

Good evening,

Thanks for this new release. I tried to configure Tuya but I had errors in the logs

2023-07-10T20:18:36+0200 <error> tuya.discoverDevices.js:38 (TuyaHandler.discoverDevices) Unable to load Tuya devices TypeError: Cannot destructure property 'list' of 'result' as it is undefined.

This error comes from a response from the Tuya service

2023-07-10T20:18:37+0200 <info> tuya.loadDevices.js:24 (TuyaHandler.loadDevices) {"code":1106,"msg":"permission deny","success":false,"t":1689013117777,"tid":"308c08251f4e11eeaf6d364e015c3922"}

After investigation (it worked on my dev VM, I noticed that my Tuya project was available in ‹ Central Europa Data center › and not Western Europe as I thought). I therefore changed the Endpoint and it’s working now

PS: I have a Smartplug WiFi power strip

Thanks for the feedback @Romuald_Pochet !

@Lokkye maybe we should display a specific message in that case rather than a crash ?

Congratulations! I’m really looking forward to it being compatible with my vacuum cleaner!

Thanks @Lokkye great work
The switch works very well and my LED strip too, the color palette works now. Thanks
There remains a problem with the color palette of my smart bulb, the color palette is dark as if the brightness and saturation were at minimum (I say that because I tried to make it work with Node-RED and that’s what it looks like when you set saturation and brightness to minimum).

here is the color palette of the smart LED strip, which I think is more normal.

If you need I can share my brief research on controlling this bulb
If I may add one small thing, it would be to be able to choose the switch or light mode on each device (for example my switch controls a light, but because it is a switch it does not affect the room’s main button when turned on, the small switch at the top right of a window on the dashboard). We had this problem with Sonoff Basic on Tasmota.
Thanks again for this integration

hello great Tuya, but very complicated to activate on Gladys, not very user-friendly
I get stuck at scanning the QR code but without success, always the same timeout error — apparently a server location problem, but I’m getting lost in this; I tried to change it but nothing worked

Anyway, any idea?
well I found out for those interested, I downloaded another version of Smart Life, the one I had came from Axion but apparently that doesn’t work

Indeed, you must use the Tuya app even for Action devices, and not use the Action app!

Hello,

is it possible to add features to detected devices?
I have a ceiling light/fan and Gladys only offers me the option to turn on the light and choose the color, even though color is not available on this device. I would also like to be able to turn on the fan, control its direction of rotation and the speed if possible.

Otherwise, for the other plug switch, it reactivates itself every x seconds. It is unplugged, yet. That doesn’t seem normal.

Isn’t it because it was on when it was unplugged, and therefore that’s the last state known to Gladys?

Good catch, that was it.
Thanks, I hadn’t thought of that :+1:
