Gladys Assistant 4.68: Matterbridge, favorite integrations and improved Tasmota

Hello everyone,

I just released a new version of Gladys, with several improvements and fixes

:new_button: What’s new

  • Matterbridge Integration: Gladys now allows you to launch a Matterbridge container with one click in Gladys, opening the door to even more compatible devices.

If you want to know how I developed this integration with AI, I go into more detail on YouTube:

Documentation: Matterbridge | Gladys Assistant

:warning: Warning, if you have already launched Matterbridge on your instance, this can cause a port conflict. There’s no real point in launching Matterbridge through Gladys if you were already able to launch it yourself outside of Gladys

  • Favorites for integrations: You can now mark your favorite integrations to find them more easily.

  • Tasmota: Automatic IP discovery via MQTT, direct link to the device interface, and better sorting during discovery.

:bug: Fixes and improvements

  • Temperature widget in rooms: Outlier temperature values are now excluded, and the Fahrenheit conversion for the maximum value is fixed.
  • Chat: Spaces in messages are now properly preserved thanks to pre-wrap.

Example:

  • DuckDB updated to version 1.4.4.
  • Fixed typos in the translations.
  • Improved robustness of the MCP service.

Thanks to all the contributors: @bertrandda, @mutmut @Will_71 @qleg and @Terdious for this great collaborative work! :raising_hands:

Happy updating! :rocket:

That’s really great, but at the risk of sounding ungrateful or being a real pain, could we default to « Favorites Â» on this page? :grimacing:

Lol !! You’re neither ungrateful nor annoying I think @jcmoriaud !!

It’s a suggestion based on your first impression

And guess what, I had exactly the same feeling !!

The dev is great I think, and in actual use, yes you immediately realize that landing on this page would be even better!

Besides, it’s not the most complicated thing to do!

Why not, but it shouldn’t be the case for a new user who has an empty favorites list; that wouldn’t be a great experience

Seen from that angle, for a new user it’s not great, I agree.

Agreed as well. I’m not a developer (I prefer to put it that way…), maybe it’s not complicated to say: if there are no favorites, open the integrations list, otherwise open favorites?

Needless to say, of course :sweat_smile:
