New website & new documentation for Gladys 4 🚀

Here it is, the new website for Gladys 4 is online

And it has a dark mode!

It’s beautiful!

Minor bugs (on mobile):

• The design is a bit broken on the « Docs » page. The text block is not 100% of the screen width.

• Home page: the description of the different integrated devices is cut off. It would also be cool to have clickable images with Amazon links (affiliate?).

• Edit: the links are on the « Integrations » page, I just noticed. However, there too, the description text of each device is cut off.

Oh dear,
In “Xiaomi Home”, I forgot to tell you to add the “s” to cher s

In the docs, it’s odd to have « Previous » and « Next » in the French version.
Similarly, « Getting Started » instead of « Pour commencer »

In the Getting Started doc:
In MacOS/Windows:

• Installer Docket Desktop
• Then launch in your browser the URL indicatede

In Freebox Delta, even though I’m not concerned, I read it​,

• in Create a virtual machine on the Freebox Delta, on the line « Choose a username, for example galdys. » Is it intentional to reverse the letters?
• in Install Docker on the VM, a hyphen between reconnectez and you.

In the Xiaomi Home doc:

• in Activation of the mode…, The activation… If it is not installede
• once cela done, launch**-la**, a hyphen between « lanceé » and « la »
• in The gateway, follow the steps ci-dessous, in the indicated order (without the e)
• maybe add an arrow to indicate the three dots as the frame is not very visible.
• Click several times… in a (without the s) … of the step (without the s) following (without the s)

In the doc Philip Hue, Connectez… Addez

In the Owntracks doc, Checkez that the integration works

In the Z-Wave doc, in « Select the USB port in Gladys »:

• select the USB port to which your key is connectede
• Gladys will scan the Z-Wave network to discover all the Z-wave devices availables.

In the Doc\API\ Develop a Gladys service the page is in English.

If you click on Subscribe, then on Back, you arrive on the homepage in English.

In Try online, in Integrations:

• All intégrations
• in CalDAV, Synchronize.
  It’s naturally the same on the real site.

Still on the home page, it’s a shame that the default compatibilities are not clickable. You could also add a « see all » that leads to the list.

For the « Gladys Plus » at €9, it’s a shame that the subscribe button goes directly to the payment form. I think there’s a missing intermediate page that explains in more detail the benefits.

What information do you miss to better understand what it’s about? I’m interested

It’s not so much a factual point of view as a psychological one, I find. To make a monthly purchase of 10€, it’s more reassuring to have more text to read, the time to get used to the idea and to convince yourself that it’s not just an irrational whim (in my opinion).

I understand the idea I’ll think about it!
