Gladys Assistant v4.54.0: Node 22 and new improvements!

I am delighted to announce the release of Gladys Assistant v4.54.0, an update that brings many improvements and fixes to make Gladys even more enjoyable to use every day

:rocket: Move to Node.js 22

Gladys Assistant now runs on Node.js 22, the latest LTS version of Node.js. This update improves performance, security, and ensures better long-term compatibility.

:recycling_symbol: Removal of the legacy OpenZWave integration

The OpenZWave integration has been permanently removed to simplify the codebase, avoid any confusion for new users, and focus efforts on the more modern integration via ZwaveJS UI.

:high_voltage: Support for the « Tuya PJ-1203A » energy meter via Zigbee2MQTT

Gladys Assistant now supports new features for the smart energy meter “Tuya PJ-1203A”, allowing display of power (W), current (A), and energy consumed (kWh).

Thanks @cicoub13!

:battery: Improved low battery notifications

If, like me, you own a Zigbee “Frient” smoke detector, you may have received spurious notifications indicating its battery is low, while no percentage indication was provided (only a « Low battery » status: true/false).

I fixed this bug and included this indication in notifications, in addition to devices that already report their battery level as a percentage.

:loudspeaker: Password reset notifications via Telegram and NextCloud Talk

If you have configured Telegram or NextCloud Talk, you will now receive password reset links directly on those platforms.

:tear_off_calendar: Other fixes and improvements

  • Reconnection to the Mosquitto server is now better handled when the broker is temporarily unavailable, both in the MQTT integration and in ZwaveJS UI.
  • Fixed a bug in the « Home » view where it was impossible to add a new room due to a selector issue for one user.
  • Clearer validation errors were added when creating a device via MQTT.

Thanks for your support and see you soon for the next release! :glowing_star:

Great job on this lovely update! :clap:t2:

I just tested this by stopping and restarting my MQTT Docker; the reconnection happened without any problem :tada:

Great updates Gladys, thanks, I was eagerly waiting for the energy meter — here is a screenshot, but the units behind the values are missing, I don’t know how to make them appear

Hi @pascal_sapin, for the graphs unit there’s a small UI bug that I fixed and that will be included in the next Gladys release

Hi @pierre-gilles ,
Thanks for this update.
I noticed a small issue with the display of the integration page.
Some modules that I unchecked reappear on the page.
If that helps…
Have a good day.

Hi @l.dolle  Nothing has changed on this page so I don’t think it’s related to this update!

Anyway, checking or unchecking those integrations doesn’t do much ^^

@pascal_sapin The bug is fixed in Gladys Assistant 4.55 !

To fix the bug, you need to edit the affected chart and deselect the problematic features, then reselect them

Don’t hesitate if you have any questions !
