Hello, earlier this year I showed that following a problem with my Zigbee integration Gladys was controlling the lighting for my seedlings with a simple Silvercrest Zigbee smart plug and some LED tubes. Since then the seedlings have taken their place in the garden and are doing very well.
Currently, with the same smart plug, a Chinese Tuya Zigbee temperature sensor and a household fan, Gladys helps me regulate excess heat in our greenhouse.
Recently, with a simple Zigbee module that fits into household switch boxes and controls the switching on and off of lights, Gladys has taken control of our small pond. A recycled 12V computer power supply, a small Chinese 12V pump, a homemade filter made from a recycled PVC bucket and a few purchased fittings — and voilà, our little fish are happy.
My next project in the garden is the automation of my water tanks.
I’ve seen interesting things on the forum regarding tank level management and for automatic irrigation I’m still hesitating between Zigbee solenoid valves or a Zigbee multi-relay board that would control irrigation solenoid valves. If anyone has an idea of the best solution I’m all ears. And after that there will be the chicken coop.
Opening and closing at sunrise and sunset. Automatic distribution of food and water. And maybe remote monitoring of the interior with a camera. And the last project, the essential spa right now after a day’s work.
I’ve seen on other forums that some people had hacked boards that allowed Intex spas to communicate via MQTT with Jeedom or Home Assistant. I think I could do the same thing with Gladys.
A little bonus.
