After integrating a 4-relay board into zigbee2mqtt, I do get 4 switches but I cannot rename them with the name corresponding to the different desired use for each switch.
Can someone help me knowing that I’m new to Gladys but not to computing despite my age.
Do you have an error message?
No message, it’s just impossible to do because the names cannot be modified.
I was mistaken because the names can indeed be edited while editing each switch, but after saving they do not appear in the dashboard where I placed the device for use.
If I’m not mistaken I think that’s the same thing as this:
That’s exactly it and it’s very annoying when trying to find what you want to activate, and the only solution is to put Post-it notes on the screen — it’s not great!
As you may have read, it’s actually about making a choice at the overall Gladys development level, and not about specific hardware (@pierre-gilles could explain it to you much better than I can).
In any case, I also can’t wait for this scenario to be handled better!
