[Integration] Environment Canada: official weather, alerts, and air quality in Gladys

Hello everyone,

Here is Environment Canada: a weather provider for Gladys, powered solely by open data from Environment and Climate Change Canada.

What it brings:

  • :sun_behind_rain_cloud: the official forecasts for the nearest city to your home (current conditions, 24 hours, about 6 days, UV index) in the weather widget and the assistant;

  • :warning: the official alerts (warnings, watches, advisories, smoke bulletins), which feed Gladys’ “Weather Alert” trigger in a few minutes;

  • :face_with_medical_mask: an Air Quality widget: your area’s Air Quality Health Index, its risk level, the 24-hour forecast, the forecasted index in forest fire smoke, and Health Canada’s advice;

  • :thermometer: a Feels Like widget: humidex in the summer, wind chill in the winter, frostbite delay, risk of freezing rain;

  • :clapper_board: two scene triggers, “Air Quality Level Changed” and “Feels Like Level Changed”. For example, close the windows and turn off the air exchanger when smoke arrives;

  • :satellite_antenna: the precipitation radar around the house.

No configuration and no key: the integration reads the position of your home. It covers Canada only.

  • Requires Gladys 5.1.0 or later
