Hello everyone,
I present to you EPEX Spot, a new external integration that brings day-ahead electricity prices (EPEX Spot auction, coupled European market) every quarter-hour into Gladys.
For whom? Those who have (or are considering) a dynamic electricity plan, those who want to run their appliances during the cheapest hours (dishwasher, car, water heater…), and those curious about negative prices ![]()
.
What it does:
10 zones: France, Germany/Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, Western Denmark, Finland
one device: current and next price, min, average, and max of the day, tomorrow’s average
energy contracts (Gladys 5.2): a dynamic contract model (spot × coefficient + margin, delivery, subscription, VAT), and Gladys calculates the real cost of your consumption
triggers: price level changed, start of the cheapest hours (1 to 6 h), tomorrow’s prices published
actions: read the price, find the N cheapest hours, “is this an off-peak hour?”
two widgets: today’s and tomorrow’s curve, best time slots for the next 24 hours
in French, English, German, and Spanish
cloud tag, energy-charts.info data, no account or API key
Example: every day at 10 p.m., Find the cheapest hours (3 h, tomorrow), then Send a message: “Car charging from {{start_time}} to {{end_time}}”.
Installation: Gladys 5.2.0 or later. Go to Integrations → Install an integration, search for « EPEX Spot », choose your zone, then add the device from the Discovery tab.
