Hi everyone! ![]()
Gree is one of the world’s largest air conditioner manufacturers, and you can find it under many brands: Sinclair, Cooper&Hunter, Tosot, Daitsu… Here’s the integration to control them from Gladys, locally, without an account or cloud.
What it does
- One air conditioning device per unit, with all its features:
- on/off, mode (auto, cold, hot, dehumidification, ventilation) and setpoint from 16 to 30 °C;
- fan speed (auto, 5 speeds, quiet, turbo), vertical and horizontal oscillation;
- the indoor temperature;
- the screen, eco mode, anti-frost 8 °C, night mode, X-Fan…
- Automatic search for units on the network, or their IP address. Local pairing is done automatically.
- A trigger « change made outside Gladys »: on/off, mode or setpoint changed via remote control or app. Gladys commands do not trigger it.
- Two scene actions: apply settings (mode, setpoint, ventilation in one command, so one beep) and turn everything off.
- A « Air Conditioners » widget: all your units on a map, and a « Turn everything off » button.
- In French, English, German and Spanish.
The cool part
Window open for 5 minutes → turn off the air conditioning in the room
I leave the house → « Turn everything off » button
Someone set the setpoint to 30 °C on the remote control → notification
Installation
Gladys 5.1 minimum, and your units already installed in the Gree+ (or EWPE Smart) app.
It will be available in the store at the next indexer update. In the meantime: Integrations → Install from GitHub, with GitHub - guim31/gladys-gree: Gree air conditioners and rebrands (Sinclair, Cooper&Hunter, Tosot...) for Gladys Assistant, over the local network · GitHub
- Start the search, or enter the IP address of your units.
- Discovery tab: add them.
Honest small reservations
- Developed without the hardware: the protocol was rewritten from scratch and verified byte by byte, including the two encryptions, but nothing has run on a real air conditioner. Your feedback is welcome

- Depending on the firmware, some options (anti-frost, quiet mode) may be missing or behave slightly differently.
Like the previous ones, developed with Claude Code. Independent project, not affiliated with Gree.
