Hi everyone! ![]()
After Hyundai / Kia, Tesla, and Volvo, the most common electric cars in France were missing: Renault and Dacia (Zoe, Mégane E-Tech, Scénic E-Tech, R5, Twingo E-Tech, Dacia Spring…). It was in the French-speaking package from @pierre-gilles. The integration goes through the same account as the My Renault / My Dacia app.
What it does
- One device per car, with whatever your model reports:
- battery (%) and range;
- plugged in or not, charging, charging power, time remaining;
- charging mode (immediate or scheduled), which can be changed from Gladys;
- mileage, temperatures, locking, and openings for models that provide them.
- The GPS position is disabled by default: you need to enable it if you want it.
- Commands: start charging (and stop it on models that allow it, like the Zoe and the Spring), start preheating (or air conditioning).
- A scene trigger « charging complete », and two actions: refresh the car, start preconditioning.
- A « My Renault » widget: battery, range, charging, and preheating button.
- In French, English, German, and Spanish.
The commands are honest: when the cloud accepts a request, the car may not have executed it. Gladys keeps the requested value for a few minutes, rechecks, and displays « Not reported by the car » if nothing follows.
The cool part
Charging complete → notification « the Zoe is ready, 280 km range »
Weekdays at 7:30 a.m., if it’s below 5°C → preheating started
Off-peak hours → switch back to immediate charging
Installation
Gladys 5.1 minimum.
It will arrive in the store at the next indexer run. In the meantime: Integrations → Install from GitHub, with GitHub - guim31/gladys-renault: Renault and Dacia electric cars for Gladys Assistant: battery, range, charging, preconditioning · GitHub
- In the configuration: your My Renault / My Dacia email and password, and the country of the account.
- Test the connection. If your account requires an email code (this is the case for some since 2026): Send the verification code, then Enter the code in the following minutes.
- Discovery tab: add your car.
The data is regularly read without ever waking up the car, staying within Renault’s cloud limits.
Honest small reservations
- Beta, developed without a car or account. I still checked the connection against the real Renault service: it goes all the way and correctly identifies a wrong password. What remains to be seen on a real account are the car data and the commands.
- Renault has no public API: the integration talks to the cloud like the app, and may break if Renault changes it.
- Not all models report everything: some information will be missing depending on the car.
@ruegerth, your Dacia Spring would be perfect for a first test, if you have a My Dacia account ![]()
It relies on renault-api from the HACF community (MIT), the library of the official Home Assistant integration: thanks to them! Like the previous ones, developed with Claude Code. Independent project, not affiliated with Renault or Dacia.
