Hi everyone! ![]()
After the Freebox by @Will_71 and the Livebox by @lmilcent, it’s the turn of the SFR Box: its status directly in Gladys, locally, without an SFR account.
The classic: Internet cuts out while you’re at work, and you only find out in the evening
. There, Gladys knows right away.
What it does
The line: DSL or fiber, synchronized or not, synchronized speeds, attenuation and noise margin for DSL.
Internet: connected or not, IPv6, public IP.
Wi-Fi: enabled or not, uptime, temperature when the box has a sensor, model and firmware.
Connected devices: a presence device per MAC address, to know who is at home.
Two scene triggers: « Internet Connection Lost » and « Internet Connection Restored », with the duration of the outage. A scene action « Restart the SFR Box ».
A « SFR Box » widget: speeds, uptime, temperature and status.- In French, English, German and Spanish

The cool thing
Internet connection lost → notification by SMS or on the watch, and the alarm switches to local mode
Connection restored after 10 minutes → « Internet is back (10 min outage) »
The teenager’s phone connects to Wi-Fi → « welcome home »
Installation
Gladys 5.1 minimum.
It arrives in the store during the day. In a hurry? Integrations → Install from GitHub, with the address GitHub - guim31/gladys-sfr-box: SFR Box internet box status (line, WAN, Wi-Fi, connected devices) for Gladys Assistant, local API · GitHub
- In the configuration, enter the box address (usually 192.168.1.1), and its administrator username and password for the information that requires it (Wi-Fi, connected devices).
- Click on Test the connection.
- Discovery tab: add the box, and the devices whose presence you want to track.
Honest small reservations
Beta, developed without SFR Box. It relies on the library sfrbox-api, that of the official Home Assistant integration (thanks to the HACF team!), and its real box responses were used for testing.- NB4 to NB6 boxes are covered. SFR Box 8 and 8X, I don’t know yet: they do not appear in the API documentation nor in Home Assistant. If you have one, your feedback interests me!
If you have an SFR Box, even a simple « it works » with the model, it’s precious ![]()
Like the previous ones, developed with Claude Code
. Independent project, not affiliated with SFR.
