External integration - Sonarr & Radarr

Hi everyone!

In many homelabs, Sonarr and Radarr run alongside Plex or Jellyfin to track TV shows and movies. Here’s Sonarr & Radarr for Gladys: this week’s releases, download queues, and the health of both tools, plus scenes when an episode or movie arrives.

What it does

  • One device per instance (up to two Sonarr and two Radarr): online status, download queue, failed downloads, missing episodes or movies, releases for the next 7 days, free space, health alerts, version.
  • A widget « Upcoming Releases »: episodes and movies of the week with their posters (« Downloaded » badge when the file is there), queues, and buttons « Search for Missing » and « Refresh ».
  • Triggers: episode or movie downloaded, download failed, new health alert.
  • Actions: search for missing, refresh the library, read a summary. Nothing destructive.

The cool part

Movie imported by Radarr → notification « Avatar (2009) is ready »
Failed download → message with the reason
Sunday evening → search for missing episodes

Installation

Gladys 5.1 minimum. Sonarr v3/v4 and Radarr v3 or newer, on the local network.

It will arrive in the store at the next indexer update. In the meantime: Integrations → Install from GitHub, with the address GitHub - guim31/gladys-arr: Sonarr and Radarr in Gladys Assistant: upcoming releases, queues, missing items and health · GitHub

  1. Enter the address (with the port) and the API key for each instance (Settings → General → Security).
  2. Test the connection, then add the devices from the Discovery tab.

Honest caveats: imports are read at each refresh (2 minutes by default), not instantly, there is no Gladys calendar view, and self-signed HTTPS is not supported. It has been tested against real Sonarr 4 and Radarr 6 in containers (real imports announced in scene) under Gladys’ sandbox conditions, but not yet in a real instance.

Coded with the help of Claude Code. Independent project, not affiliated with the Sonarr and Radarr projects.
