External integration - Suez / Saur (water)

cover-eau

Hi everyone!

Series « French-style home », episode water bill: the one we discover twice a year, wondering where these cubic meters come from. If your meter is remotely read and your water is with Suez or Saur, Gladys now retrieves your daily consumption and can alert you when it looks like a leak. After Veolia and Agur, it’s starting to add up ^^

What it does

  • One device per meter, with:
    • daily consumption in liters, and 13 months of history imported when the meter is added;
    • the meter index, the consumption of the month and the year in m³;
    • at Suez: the average price of water and the leak alert.
  • A trigger « Abnormal water consumption »: the Suez alert, or three consecutive days well above your usual consumption (adjustable threshold, or deactivatable). Only once per episode, even if Gladys restarts.
  • A scene action that gives the meter figures.
  • A widget: yesterday, this month, and the comparison with last month and last year.
  • In French, English, German, and Spanish.

The cool thing

Abnormal consumption → « 640 L yesterday instead of 180 L », and the water inlet solenoid valve closed
Every morning at 8 a.m. → « Yesterday 210 L, this month 4.2 m³ (+12 % compared to last month) »
House in away mode → alert if more than 20 L flowed the day before

Installation

:warning: Gladys 5.1 minimum.

It will arrive in the store at the next indexer pass. In the meantime: Integrations → Install from GitHub, with GitHub - guim31/gladys-eau: Water consumption from Suez and Saur meters for Gladys Assistant · GitHub

  1. You need a remotely read meter and an online customer account: « Everything about my water » at Suez, « My customer space » at Saur.
  2. In Gladys: choose the distributor, then the email and password of the customer account.
  3. Discovery tab: add the meter.

Honest small reservations

  • Daily figures, with one or two days delay: no real-time, and no detection of the 3 a.m. leak.
  • The price and the leak alert only exist at Suez.
  • Water does not enter Gladys’ energy tracking, which only speaks in kWh: these are volume sensors, like for Veolia.
  • No official API: if Suez or Saur change their website, the integration can break until the next update.
  • Developed without a Suez or Saur account. I checked from home that the connection to the real customer spaces of both distributors goes all the way and properly refuses a fake account, but no real reading has been made yet: if you are with one of the two, your feedback interests me a lot.

Like the previous ones, developed with Claude Code. Independent project, not affiliated with Suez or Saur.
