Hi everyone!
Another Toulousan here. In the morning, between « Is the bus coming in 3 minutes or in 13? » and « Is there a bike left at the station downstairs? », I spent my time on two different apps. Here is Tisséo for Gladys: the next arrivals at your stops, disruptions on your lines, and the bikes at your VélôToulouse stations. Everything comes from open data: no account and no key required.
What it does
- One device per stop: for each line and direction, the minutes until the next arrival and the following one, the next three departures in text, and the traffic info for the lines. You can keep only certain lines (« A, L1 »).
- Real-time information where Tisséo publishes it (buses, trams, Téléo): delays, cancellations, stops not served. The metro remains on the theoretical schedule, Tisséo does not publish it in real time.
- One device per VélôToulouse station: available bikes (mechanical and electric) and free spaces, with history.
- Stops and stations are searched from Gladys, by name or around the house: no need to look for identifiers elsewhere.
- Two widgets: « Next departures » and « VélôToulouse ».
- Triggers: new disruption on a monitored line (or on the entire network), not enough bikes at a station, bikes returned.
- Actions that prepare a phrase ready to send: « Metro A towards Basso Cambo at Jean Jaurès: in 3 and 7 min ».
The cool part
On weekdays at 7:50 a.m. → the next arrivals of my bus on the speakers
Disruption on line A → message on the phone before leaving
Less than 2 electric bikes at my station → notification
Installation
Gladys 5.1 minimum.
It will arrive in the store at the next indexer pass. In the meantime: Integrations → Install from GitHub, with the address GitHub - guim31/gladys-tisseo: Tisseo (Toulouse) for Gladys Assistant: next departures, disruptions, VeloToulouse bikes and park-and-ride · GitHub
- During installation, Gladys asks to share the position of your homes: it is used only to list the nearest stops and stations.
- In the Configuration tab: search for and add your stops and stations.
- Create the devices from the Discovery tab, then add the widgets.
Honest small reservations: the real-time stream is about 1.7 MB, which is roughly 100 MB per hour with a refresh every minute. On a limited connection, space out the refresh or turn off real-time in the configuration. No occupancy of relay parking lots (open data only gives their capacity), and the texts of the alerts remain in French. It has been tested on real Tisséo and VélôToulouse data, in the conditions of Gladys’ sandbox, but not yet in a real instance.
Coded with the help of Claude Code. Independent project, not affiliated with Tisséo or JCDecaux.
