External integration - Toulouse Agenda

Hi everyone!

This one is a bit niche, but it was close to my heart: I live in Toulouse, and I regularly miss concerts or exhibitions because I find out too late. So here is Toulouse Agenda, cultural events in Toulouse and its metropolitan area directly in Gladys, from open data. No account and no key required.

What it does

  • A « Outings in Toulouse » widget: today, tonight, tomorrow, this weekend, 7 or 30 days. Filter by theme (music, show, exhibition, cinema, family…), by keyword, by city, or only free. Each outing has its thumbnail, time, location, a « Free » or « Full » badge, and a tap displays the description, price, and link.
  • A trigger « New event announced »: you enter watched words (an artist, a venue, « jazz »…), and the scene goes off as soon as a new event contains them, with the title, date, location, link, and price.
  • An action « Outings in Toulouse » that prepares a small summary ready to send by message.

The cool part

Every Friday at 6 PM → weekend concerts and shows by message
Watched words « Orelsan, Zénith » → a message as soon as a date is announced
Wednesday morning → free family outings of the day

Installation

Gladys 5.1 minimum.

It will arrive in the store at the next indexer run. In the meantime: Integrations → Install from GitHub, with the address GitHub - guim31/gladys-toulouse-agenda: Toulouse cultural events agenda for Gladys Assistant, from Toulouse Metropole open data · GitHub

  1. Choose the radius around the Capitole (15 km by default).
  2. Add the widget to your dashboard.
  3. If you want alerts, enter your watched words.

The sources

The « So Toulouse » game from Toulouse Métropole has been frozen since the end of 2025, so the main source is the open data export from OpenAgenda: about 1,400 upcoming events around Toulouse (libraries, museums, Quai des Savoirs, Cratère, city agendas…), updated daily. So Toulouse is still read as a supplement, without duplicates, for the day it will restart.

Honest small reservations: coverage depends on what venues publish on OpenAgenda (some concert halls are not there), themes are deduced from titles and about a quarter of events do not have them, and the first download only takes note of what exists, without announcing anything. Tested against real sources and in Gladys sandbox conditions, but not yet in a real instance.

Coded with the help of Claude Code. Independent project, not affiliated with Toulouse Métropole or OpenAgenda.
