Hi everyone!
For list lovers: Todoist in Gladys, via the official API and your personal token. No device here: your tasks go to the dashboard and in the scenes.
What it does
- A widget « Todoist Tasks »:
- today’s tasks and overdue tasks, or those from a project, or any Todoist filter;
- priority color and due time;
- a button to check, and a form to add.
- Three scene actions:
- Add a task: the text, the due date written as in Todoist (« tomorrow at 6pm », « every Monday »), the project, the priority and the labels. Or quick add: « Call mom tomorrow 6pm #Home p2 ».
- Complete a task: by its name, approximately.
- Read tasks: the number, the delays, the list and the next task.
- Three scene triggers, filterable by project and by priority:
- task due: at its time, or at 9 a.m. for a task without a time;
- task added;
- task completed, including recurring ones.
The cool thing
- The washing machine is done → « Hang out the laundry » is added to your Todoist.
- A p1 task is due → the desk lamp flashes.
- In the morning, the assistant reads the day’s list: « 4 tasks today, including 1 overdue ».
- Someone checks « Take out the trash » in a shared project → the reminder scene stops.
Installation
Gladys 5.1 minimum; the widget forms require Gladys 5.2. It arrives in the store at the next indexer pass. In a hurry? Integrations → Install from GitHub, with the address GitHub - LM1LC3N7/gladys-todoist: Gladys Assistant external integration for Todoist: today’s tasks on the dashboard, add and complete tasks from scenes, a “task due” scene trigger. Unofficial, not affiliated with Doist. · GitHub
- In Todoist, Settings → Integrations → Developer: copy your API token.
- Paste it into the configuration, then click Test Account.
- Place the Todoist Tasks widget on a dashboard.
Small honest reservations
- Written without a Todoist account at hand, based on the official API v1 documentation and the official Todoist SDK. A first feedback would be precious.
- Todoist only offers webhooks to registered applications. The integration therefore reads changes every 2 minutes, in incremental reading, well below the published limits. An added task may take 2 minutes to trigger its scene.
- The « project » filter of a trigger is entered exactly as in Todoist, including uppercase letters: Gladys compares exactly.
Like the previous ones, developed with Claude Code. Independent project, not affiliated with Doist.
