Hello,
I added my second home in Gladys and I would like to know how to switch from one house to another in order to automate it?
Thank you for your reply.
Hi @Falcon29 ![]()
Can you tell us more about your project?
Hello,
I use Gladys to manage my main home with the Enki box which controls all my shutters via a Somfy RTS dongle. For my second home, I also use an Enki box to manage the shutters, the lights and the temperature sensors. In addition, I have a Somfy alarm, Blink cameras, a heat pump controlled by the Migo Link app, a solar panel managed by the Talent Home app, and an Echo Show 15+.
My goal is to unify the management of both houses using Gladys as the only application. Currently, I have several apps for management, and with Enki I have to log out of one account to log into another for the second home. Appreciating Gladys’s potential and being a fan of Iron Man, the idea would be for Gladys to evolve into an AI-powered personal assistant to manage the home automation, thereby standing out from the competition.
Ok I understand, very nice ![]()
Don’t hesitate if you have any specific questions when putting all that in place!
Hello,
Knowing that I created both houses, how can I switch from a primary house to a secondary house on Gladys?
There is no notion of « current house », you have both in Gladys, and the best is to create separate dashboards for each house ![]()
In Gladys everything is « per house » so in the scenes you’ll be able to manage both.
Hello,
I saw a tutorial explaining how to add an existing home automation setup via Zigbee2MQTT using the « connect to an existing installation » function. However, I have already configured a Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 Plus USB dongle with the installation through Gladys.
So my question is: is it possible to add a connection to an existing installation without modifying my Sonoff dongle?
Thank you.
Thank you for your response. Would it be possible to add a dropdown menu to separate the two houses? That would improve readability on a smartphone.
You can create a feature request on the forum and vote for it. That way the whole community can see it and a dev or @pierre-gilles might develop it one day ![]()
@Falcon29 What do you mean? You can already make two separate dashboards and therefore have your two houses in different tabs
