I need your help: What do you think of Gladys Assistant 4?

Thanks @syper for your detailed feedback!

Okay, this will come quite soon via Gladys Plus.

Yes, via Gladys Plus you can install a PWA that gives you access to your instance from anywhere in the world. It works well

For these two, indeed, you will have to go through Node-RED until someone offers development.

Out of curiosity, what is missing? Concretely, what kind of scene are you unable to do?

I hope this will come with the new ZWaveJS integration!

This is not normal, normally all batteries are managed natively in the integration. cc @cicoub13 @VonOx

We have a feature request here:

You can vote if you want to see this in Gladys!

Can you make a feature request so we can better understand your need? (You can create a topic in the « Feature Request Â» category, this allows us to prioritize developments based on votes)

Thanks!! It’s nice to read that!

On this, I will be honest, I don’t think I will lower the price of Gladys Plus. HA can afford to put such low prices because they do volume, but on the Gladys side we are still very far from making this volume of use, and I don’t even think that’s something I want!

Dividing the prices by 2 means:

  • Having to double the number of subscribers to make the same turnover (and who finances the void until you double?)
  • Even with a doubled number of subscribers, the revenue would be reduced (because costs increase, we are talking about a gateway that handles a lot of traffic including video streams, and for some users it’s a lot of traffic!)
  • It’s multiplying the support by 4 (and the support, I’m the one who does it so it means that I would spend less time on development), because the lower the prices, the more you attract a very heavy public in support (it’s the paradox of the price: those who pay the most are rarely the most demanding customers. The « cheap Â» plans attract customers who complain a lot :stuck_out_tongue: )

So, in the short/medium term, I don’t think lowering prices is the best way to serve the project.

I prefer to support fewer customers who pay a « fair Â» price, and have time to focus on development, rather than lowering prices, and then be overwhelmed with customer support and no longer be available to develop.

After all, what I tell you is not set in stone, everything can change as the project evolves

Thanks again for your super complete feedback!
