Official Gladys starter kit launch! 🚀

Hi @Einstein8854, no I don’t have a Bluesky account

€239 this morning :sob:

I hope it will go down in the next few days!

Have they stopped production? I can’t find it on https://www.bee-link.com

The site is rarely up to date, I don’t really know why!

In my view, the Beelink S12 Pro was essentially at the end of its life and was being replaced by the Beelink S13, which had a newer processor.

Beelink’s response on Twitter here :

:smiling_face_with_tear:

In 1 day ???

In just a few weeks! It’s the AI-related demand that is apparently the cause.

That’s crazy
. :expressionless_face: (and really annoying!)

To keep you updated, I still have a Beelink T5 Pro (paid 95€) that is in delivery and has been heavily delayed by the post office
As soon as I receive it, I’ll verify that everything works on this mini-PC, and if that’s the case I’ll launch the “entry-level” offer

On the mid-range side, I also have an order in progress for a Beelink mini S with 8GB of RAM + 128GB of storage (paid 135€).

Regarding the Beelink S13, for now

I’ve been following the conversations from afar due to lack of time; I haven’t switched to Gladys yet (EEDOMUS for now). I’m wondering why BEELINK? and not GMKTEC? What is crucial for Gladys? I suppose it’s more the amount of RAM than disk capacity because I don’t understand the point of the Beelink S13’s 512GB storage.

I just received the Beelink T5, it looks crazy! The form factor is really tiny:

Tomorrow I’ll do the full installation!

@Titus, I could suggest other brands per se, but I have experience with Beelink: my home setup has been running on a Beelink for 2 years, and I feel more legitimate recommending hardware I use myself rather than a brand I’ve never tested  The entire Gladys training was filmed on Beelink, so I also have a lot of content about these mini-PCs.

Also, GMTek generally has similar prices to Beelink. Prices often fluctuate in the short term due to stock issues / production costs, but on average their offers are equivalent :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: If that changes, I’ll switch suppliers, that’s for sure!

Installation in progress, and YES the mini-PC does have the option to automatically restart in case of a power outage!!

This all looks very, very good :star_struck:

Mini-PC installé avec Gladys :white_check_mark:

With Gladys running in the background (empty for now), the mini-PC still has plenty to offer with its 4 GB of RAM and its Intel dual-core CPU :

I just tested Zigbee2mqtt on the USB port, and the installation went perfectly; it’s stable and fast

The USB port seems to be supplying enough power.

Okay, summary: I’m convinced by the Beelink T5, it’s an entry-level machine that will be perfect for getting started for new Gladys users.

I’ll offer the kit at €119.99 + €8 shipping, i.e. €127.99 :

I currently have only one mini-PC in stock; if you’re interested, contact me

I’ve ordered 2 more Beelink T5s because I think they’ll sell like hotcakes :baguette_bread:

Edit: it’s live on the site: Kit de dĂ©marrage Gladys clĂ© en main | Gladys Assistant

What do you think?

Thanks for everything , Pierre-Gilles

i will not fail to give feedback on the equipment and its operation
