Maurice, I'm coming ;-)

Thank you for your welcome!
Retirement gives me time to improve the comfort of our home.
Gladys is a recent discovery that seems very interesting to me.
However, two things seem unclear to me.

  • Communication with « enocean » sensors
  • Access to voice control outside the WEB
These are the reasons that prompted me to register here…
The door is open, so let’s discover the universe!

Welcome Maurice,
You’re right to arrive.

Do you have some knowledge in home automation? Development? Electronics? (Sofa?? Which is very compatible with home automation :stuck_out_tongue: )

You mention « enocean » because you have an installation on this protocol?
For voice outside WEB, I delegate.

Since I retired, I’ve been trying to educate myself on the subject. I’ve learned a few things…

While programming isn’t entirely foreign to me and I’m proficient in a few languages, I primarily worked with databases related to production management. All of this to say that the kind of development you’re referring to isn’t necessarily my usual area. To get into it, I have a lot to discover.

Welcome to you  and looking forward to reading you

My discovery of Gladys continues,
In my explorations into home automation, I have known Sonoff for some time and I have seen here that this equipment is supported. In terms of comparable hardware, I recently discovered Shelly products:

Shelly at Quintium
Sonoff and Shelly seem comparable in terms of features, but the price is significantly in favor of Shelly. The same goes for size.
Do you have opinions and experiences with Shelly?
