Hello, it’s me again, sorry to bombard you with my questions… Today’s question is about accessing Gladys via smartphone. I don’t want to allow access from just anywhere, but only from home. While searching the documentation (I don’t just ask questions 
) I thought I understood that I need to subscribe to Gladys Plus. Even for local access?! And by the way, how do you generally access Gladys? Via a browser and a URL? Or via a dedicated client?

From your local network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet), you can access Gladys without subscribing to Gladys Plus.
If you want to be able to access it from outside (and have many other features), Gladys Plus will be necessary.
Just open a browser and enter Gladys’s address:

From your phone, you can do the same from any browser and even add a shortcut to your home screen.

No, from your home, you don’t have to go through Gladys Plus. Just open your machine’s IP address in a browser.
There’s also this address below to access Gladys from your home
With Gladys Plus, you can connect to Gladys from outside without complicated configuration on your box, for example by opening ports, or creating a VPN.
