Fabien, 45, drawn to managing my surroundings daily through home automation; an acquaintance installed Home Assistant for me about 2 years ago because, being a novice, my IT skills didn’t allow me to do it.
Today I discover Gladys, which seems more accessible for my level. In the meantime I moved into a house that is much better suited to home automation than the previous one: an RJ45 network has been almost entirely installed in nearly every room and connected to the fiber.
I want to create automations and add video surveillance. Currently on Home Assistant I have temperature sensors, a probe, a smart plug, a connected relay — all on ZigBee and Alexa as a voice assistant.
Novice, I might be a pain
