New video: Gladys Assistant in your home #1, Louis and his connected mailbox!

Hello @lmilcent,
I just wanted you to confirm that you didn’t need a Xiaomi gateway to use the Xiaomi sensors, is that correct?

Have a good evening,

Yes I confirm! No editor gateway.

Can you confirm for me that this is indeed the thermostatic head: https://www.domadoo.fr/fr/tetes-thermostatiques/5783-moes-tete-thermostatique-intelligente-zigbee-30-blanc.html?domid=17

Because it seems to me that we do find the 100 and the TRV but it doesn’t have exactly the same name so I prefer to be sure!

Yes, that’s right! And customer service is great if you need it.

Hello @lmilcent it’s me again,
I’m too inspired by your design.

So I have 2 questions:

  1. I received the heating valves: Moes BRT-100-TRV but I can’t figure out how you manage them from gladys? I have 2 switches, battery information and a temperature sensor but I don’t have the possibility to set the desired temperature in the room and have the valve adapt to it, so I’m interested in your method.
  2. Similarly, I have a very classic Xiaomi button, but I can’t figure out in the scenes to reverse the state of a Xiaomi plug when I press the button, do you know how to help me?

Thanks in advance for your clarifications!

Hi @jgcb00!

Busy weekend, sorry for the delay

Sorry to disappoint you, but this is not yet supported by Gladys. I went through NodeRed but I finally discovered that you can program the heads directly via the Zigbee2Mqtt config interface.

Now this I can help you with. I use two scenes to manage the state of a lamp with a simple switch click: one to turn on if it’s off and one to turn off if it’s on.

The idea is to say:

  1. Trigger both scenes with a single click
  2. Continue only if it’s on (for the scene that handles turning off) and vice versa for the one that turns on
  3. Control the device to turn it on or off depending on the scene you are in!

Hello,
Thank you so much,
Have you made a request for integration that I can support with 50 different accounts?

Thank you so much for your help!

Heh heh not bad, the troll farm to change the priority of a feature request

Actually, it’s more complex than it looks, because we don’t just want compatibility for our connected heads, but real heating management.
There is indeed a request for it, there is still work to be done to write the functional specification (text description of how it should work).

Thanks, I really appreciate it,
I’ll look into it then!
Thanks!

FYI @lmilcent, there’s a comment on the YouTube video if you want to go reply to it

I’m taking the opportunity to repost a link to the video:

Thanks, I hadn’t seen that!
I’ll respond to it

For those interested, the question was: « Which smart plugs do I use? »

  1. NOUS - ~€18 each
The plugs are very small, and work very well. They measure current, power, voltage and can be easily controlled in Gladys.
Bought from Domadoo at around €18 each:
    https://www.domadoo.fr/fr/peripheriques/6165-nous-prise-intelligente-zigbee-30-mesure-de-consommation-5907772033517.html?domid=17

    Or a pack of 2 for €34:
    https://www.domadoo.fr/fr/peripheriques/6182-nous-lot-de-2x-prise-intelligente-zigbee-30-mesure-de-consommation-5907772033524.html?domid=17

  2. Ikea ~€15 each
The Ikea plugs are very, very basic. They only offer On/Off and are quite bulky, not to mention that I had trouble pairing them to the Zigbee network the first time.
    https://www.ikea.com/fr/fr/p/tradfri-prise-connectee-connecte-20364476/

  3. TuYa TS0121 (between €15 and €18 each)
Finally, my first plugs came from Aliexpress. Brand varies, but they are always called somewhere « TuYa TS0121 Zigbee ». Moderately reliable; one of the two is already non-functional.

To conclude, I recommend Domadoo as a retailer, because:

  • French (so there’s a warranty)
  • Very, very reasonable prices, sometimes cheaper than Aliexpress including shipping
  • Ultra-fast delivery, even better than Amazon (at least in the Paris region)
  • Excellent after-sales support; I was even able to buy spare parts for other connected devices

Quick note, I installed a sensor in the mailbox after your video and it works like a charm .. thanks for the idea :+1:

With pleasure

And above all, thank you for your feedback — it’s a pleasure to share ideas and to see that @pierre-gilles’s effort is not in vain!
