Between my scene that should send me a message and that no longer works and Telegram that no longer gives me any feedback, I don’t understand anything anymore.
Before, in Telegram, when I asked a question like « show me the office camera », I had a response in Telegram (here’s what I see and the image taken by the camera) and one in Gladys’s communication page.
Now, I only have the response in Gladys’s info page.
I re-clicked on the « link » in the Telegram integration page in Gladys, clicked on « start », but nothing works.
I logged out of Telegram, I deleted the exchange… to no avail.
Is your internet connection stable?
Have you not connected with another Gladys instance on the same Telegram bot at the same time?
Otherwise, the logs might help us:
docker logs gladys
I performed a clean reinstall.
Ok, if you ever have any more issues, I would really be curious to know more. If there is a problem in Gladys’s code, it’s important that we can fix it!
Again, in Telegram, no response to my request « Show me the office camera ».
The last time I made the request, on March 25, it worked.
Same with « what’s the weather like »
I do have my scene that sends me a message every 2 hours saying « All good! » to check that Gladys is working.
While searching in the logs, I found this: Sorry, we can’t attach a txt file
According to the logs, the error is EAI_AGAIN, which is a DNS lookup error.
I think I read in the news that Orange had a DNS incident recently, by any chance are you with Orange?
In any case, if you haven’t changed anything on your Pi, the problem isn’t really from Gladys, it’s more of a network issue in this case. Many possible causes!
Hi Pierre-Gilles,
You’re really a pro!
I am indeed at Orange.
How can I solve the problem?
However, I forgot to mention that if I make a request in the communication module of Gladys, it works. So it seems to come more from outside Gladys, as you suggest.
Is it normal that messages sent every 2 hours work?
I looked it up online, and normally the incident is resolved.
I would tend to say, reboot your Pi to make sure there is no local cache left that might have kept incorrect results.
Indeed, a reboot and it’s back on.
