More ZIGBEE thermometers

Hello, I have two ZIGBEE thermometers that suddenly stopped sending information to GLADYS. I removed them from the zigbee2MQTT configuration but I can’t reinstall them…

Can you give us the exact reference of your Zigbee sensors?

Each device has its own pairing procedure, so the easiest way is to check your model in the official Zigbee2MQTT list:

Then follow the procedure dedicated to your device.

Using a backup, I was able to restore a state where my sensors are paired, but no data is coming through..

And regarding the Zigbee2mqtt integration in Gladys, did you add the devices to Gladys? Don’t you have anything in the « Zigbee Discovery » tab?

Are you sure everything is working correctly on the Zigbee2MQTT side?

If you open the Zigbee2MQTT interface, are your devices properly connected and regularly sending their values?

Before checking what’s happening in Gladys, the first step is to make sure everything is working correctly on the Zigbee2MQTT side :slightly_smiling_face:.

This morning they appear again in Gladys, but still no recent value…
In the Zigbee2MQTT configuration they are like this:

and I don’t know how to change anything about their state; I tried querying and reconfiguring but without result

Silly question: have you checked the batteries?
At my place, the battery level of my devices under z2m is particularly unreliable!

Well after other tests I can’t find… the thermometers are well recognized in ZIGBEE2MQTT & in GLADYS, but no information is coming up… either my Gladys is crashed, or the thermometers are dead?

Are the data not being sent to Gladys, or are they not being sent to Zigbee2MQTT in the first place?

To check, log in to Zigbee2MQTT, click on your sensor in the device list, then open the “Exposures” tab:

Note the displayed value (or take a screenshot), then come back to check about an hour later.

Unless the temperature is extremely stable in your home, you should notice a change.

  • If the value has not changed, the problem is probably between the sensor and Zigbee2MQTT.
  • If the value has changed in Zigbee2MQTT but not in Gladys, then the problem is probably between Zigbee2MQTT and Gladys. :slightly_smiling_face:

This will already allow us to precisely identify where the communication chain is breaking.

If you don’t want to wait an hour, you can put your sensor in your hand, it will heat up faster :ok_hand:

The error message might be a relic. If Zigbee2mqtt is available and everything is working, you can ignore it :slight_smile:

Ok, but the data « read » by Gladys is not the same as the thermometer indicates… :confused:

If nothing moves on the exposure page, the values cannot come back up in Gladys!

Do you have screenshots of the exposure page and your sensor in Gladys at the same time?
